I suppose we Roman Catholics (and some Anglican Catholics?) must face facts. Our Holy Father makes mistakes, or so it would appear. There might be a grand strategy behind his support for the UN, but we don’t know it. I am certain though that when the rubber hits the road, that is, in times of tribulation, the Holy Father will demote such ideas. He will lead us through the Islamic horror and liberalism. It is commendable and welcome to point out the ongoing mistakes of Church officials as is done here. Jesus insists on truth. I had to redirect my sweet, beautiful, younger cousin the other night at her brother’s, my cousin’s, wedding: the Church is eternal regardless of the actions of some of its members. She has fallen away because of the sex scandals.
