The Boss Has No Clothes

“Nobody wins unless everybody wins.” “No justice, no peace.” Bruce Springsteen inanities drilled into grammar school children? Yes. See http://www.nj.com/springsteen/index.ssf/2009/10/bruce_springsteen_rocks_giants.html and http://www.springsteenlyrics.com/lyrics/0/57channels.php

These slogans, among unbetter ones, have appeared on a public grammar-school billboard on a main street one block from New Orleans, Louisiana. No doubt Bruce was not the originator, but he repeated them as one can see from the citations. Ungood that a man with major poetic talent resorts to sloganism. Oh yeah—he repeated the first at a Super Bowl concert. Add double-plus inappropriate to that one. It is entirely unclear how the second is to reduce ungood violence by little boys against little girls, one of the prime objectives of feminists. Such is life in the ironic, untraditional world.
